Join the Quebec Writers’ Federation and Éditions Alto for a special Salon dans la ville event featuring former Giller Prize winner Sean Michaels in conversation with the internationally renowned author David Mitchell. The New Yorker has compared David Mitchell to Nabokov and Saramago and says that he is “one of the few writers whose disposition for artifice is truly supernatural.” He has been shortlisted twice for the Man Booker Prize, notably for his novel Cloud Atlas, which was adapted for the screen in 2012 by Lilly and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer. In 2018, he received the Sunday Times Award for Literary Excellence, which honors an author’s entire body of work. His most recent novel is Utopia Avenue (2020). The event will be held on November 24th, at 7 pm, at the Auditorium of the Atwater Library, at 1200 Atwater Avenue. Entry is free.
