Melanie Power is the author of Full Moon of Afraid and Craving (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 2022). Her work has appeared broadly in literary journals such as The Malahat Review, Arc Poetry Magazine, Poetry Ireland Review, Prairie Fire, Grain Magazine, Southword Journal, and elsewhere. Her poems have been shortlisted for the Montreal International Poetry Prize, Arc’s Poem of the Year Contest, as well as longlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Humanities at Concordia University. Born and raised in Newfoundland, she now lives in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal).
